A Quality Place on the Map: The Goal of Small Towns
A Road Scholar Program by Norman Moline (Photo from facebook.com/DurandCharm)

Refreshments will be served.
Since its origins, every town believes it has a special identity as a unique place.
Changes beyond their control, such as the arrival of cars and quality roads, mail order shopping, and relocation of industry, have presented major challenges to town survival and identity.
Building from their dreams, creative towns seek ways to be “sparks” to adjust and continue to be unique places.
This event is part of the Spark: Places of Innovation Smithsonian exhibition hosted by Durand Charm. Additional support for this event is provided by the Durand Lions Club.
