We’re excited to share that the Peoria Riverfront Museum will be hosting three screenings of the documentary film The Underground Railroad in Metamora on August 14th at the Giant Screen Theater.

The film details stories of the significant, yet largely unknown, involvement of Metamora and its surrounding community in the Underground Railroad. This documentary aims to preserve the stories of Metamora’s crucial role during this contentious period in American history for future generations.
