Spark! in Chatsworth: Grand Opening Celebration

Join us for a day of fun and activities for families and guests of all ages as we celebrate the opening of the Smithsonian traveling exhibition Spark! Places of Innovation on display from September 9, 2023 through October 14, 2023.

Events and Activities

• Mayor Richard Runyon and Community Connection’s executive director Mary Catherine Carter will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
• The old school house in the park and the train caboose will be open.
• Other museums in the town will be open and feature activities.
• The Orpheus Mandolin Orchestra will perform throughout the day at several locations.
• And much more is planned, stay tuned!

You can tour Spark! at the Central Illinois Connection Center where light refreshments will be served and take part in the other events happening throughout the town. Can’t wait to see you there! #LoveLocal
