Join us for an evening of solidarity, storytelling…
Poets for Chicago will spotlight writers and artists standing in solidarity with immigrant and refugee communities across Illinois who continue to face systemic challenges and federal hostility. All ticket, book, and refreshment sales will directly support ICIRR’s mission to build a more just and welcoming state for all.
Join us for a night of words supporting direct action. Chicago literary heavyweights like Erika L. Sánchez, Mark Turcotte, Tara Betts, Daniel Borzutzky, Robyn Schiff, Natasha Mijares, Brenda Cárdenas, Stefania Gomez, and Daisy Hernández will share the stage to raise funds for the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant & Refugee Rights (ICIRR) and demand safety for our Neighbors.
Admission is a minimum $20 donation to ICIRR. Attendees may donate at the door or show proof of donation.
This event is presented by a coalition of literary curators from across Chicago, including Jeffrey Wolf (An Inconvenient Hour), Simone Muench and Kenyatta Rogers (Sunday Reading Series), S. Yarberry (PO Box Collective), Ben Niespodziany (Neon Night Open Mic), and the artist collective/reading series Exhibit B.
