Join the Foreground Southern Hub for a thought-provoking film festival showcasing documentaries and stories that inspire truth and social awareness.
This free-to-attend documentary film festival is a curated event showcasing non-fiction films that inform, inspire, and entertain audiences. Through real-life stories, it highlights diverse perspectives while shedding light on critical, underreported issues.
The festival features a wide range of documentaries covering topics like social issues, politics, art, human rights, and culture. Local filmmakers will engage with audiences, discussing their films and the broader themes they explore. Beyond entertainment, the festival fosters critical discussions, community connections, and deeper reflections on storytelling and social discourse.

The Foreground Rural Initiative Southern Hub includes people and organizations involved in cultural activity in Alexander, Pulaski, Union, Williamson, and Jackson counties. It is co-anchored by Legacy Training, Inc., based in Pulaski County, and Artspace 304, located in Carbondale. The Foreground Southern Hub is one of three hubs that emerged from our Foreground Rural Initiative program.
