2026 History on the Move Bus Tours

The Peoria Historical Society is pleased to announce its 2026 History on the Move Bus Tours, a series of guided tours designed to bring local history to life through engaging storytelling, historic architecture, and fascinating glimpses into the people, places, and events that have shaped the Peoria area.

Running from July 11 through October 31, the annual History on the Move Bus Tours invite residents and visitors alike to explore a wide variety of topics, from historic neighborhoods and architectural treasures to influential residents, industrial heritage, local legends, and the communities that continue to define the region today. Each tour is led by knowledgeable guides who share the stories behind Peoria’s landmarks, neighborhoods, and cultural heritage.

2026 Tour Schedule

Unless noted otherwise, all tours take place on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and depart from (and return to) the parking lot across from Kelleher’s Irish Pub and Eatery (619 SW Water Street). Bus tours cost $20 per person. Reservations are required.
