Chief White Winnebago will introduce participants to the culture and history of the HoChunk nation. He will examine the history of his tribal territory and settlements, how his family was relocated into Starved Rock, tribal names and culture, his regalia, and artifacts.

Genealogy Society of Southern Illinois (GSSI) Covid-19 Policy

GSSI will utilize the Handcock Conference center on the campus of John A. Logan College. The society abides by the current policy of the college for any event conducted. At present the minimum is ppe and social distance as we can seat well beyond typical attendance. Upon entry to an event GSSI provides face coverings and sanitizer as requested, and informs attendees to social distance on campus during the event. Events are conducted on educational days of the campus to further reduce contact.
